Something for everyone, all year round

In winter we are the closest ski hill on the Southern coast – in summer the slope turns into downhill biking, and Tveit sits right in the middle of Kristiansand's best outdoor areas.

The closest ski fun for Kristiansand

Tveit Skisenter is the city's nearest ski slope – only 15 minutes from the centre of Kristiansand and right next to Kjevik airport. Children, teenagers and adults meet here for slalom, snowboarding and sledding all winter.

The slope is 450 metres long with an 80 metre vertical drop, a poma lift, snow cannons and floodlights – so night skiing is possible for much of the season. And everything is run on a volunteer basis by Tveit IL sports club.

  • Poma lift and groomed runs all season
  • Snow cannons make snow when the weather won't
  • Floodlights for night skiing
  • Sledding hill for the little ones
  • Warming hut with kiosk at weekends

About Tveit Skisenter - the ski hill of Kristiansand

Tveit Skisenter is Kristiansand's only alpine ski facility and the closest ski hill to the city centre - just 15 minutes away, right next to Kjevik airport. The hill was cleared by pupils from Ve school around 1970 and has been run entirely by volunteers from Tveit IL sports club ever since.

The slope is 450 metres long with an 80 metre vertical drop, a poma lift, snow cannons and floodlights for night skiing. In winter the whole family meets here for slalom and snowboarding - and when the snow melts, the same hill becomes Kristiansand Sykkelpark, the downhill mountain bike park of Southern Norway.
